Forse Shirley è il miglior Idomeneo. Con la sua voce baritonale incarna perfettamente la figura del guerriero che torna in patria dopo avere combattuto dieci anni nella guerra di Troia. Ascoltate anche la sua interpretazione dell’aria “Torna la pace al core”. Bellissima.

There is a recording of the concert on private compact disc, some of which will be heard in the forthcoming documentary on Geoffrey Tozer entitle 'Geoffrey Tozer Pure Genuis'. Tozer first made friends with Elizabeth Harwood in Melbourne during the Sutherland season of 1965, when Tozer was ten.

This was part of her very brave return to singing after treatment for cancer. Beautiful singing with orchestra, an interlude following her three-city tour of Australia with the great Geoffrey Tozer singing a program they later repeated in the 1986 Wexford Festival in Ireland.

Just discovered this great human recently, I am so thankful for hearing his performances now . He’s Truly a living treasure 🎩🎶🎩🎶🎩

Ce ténor français avait une diction parfaite, un son puissant et velouté. Tout ce que l'on doit attendre de nos jours. La pianiste répétitrice que j'avais au Palais Garnier m'avait dit, à l'époque, que Guy Chauvet venait chez elle pour répéter et qu'il avait une passion pour le chant lyrique.

Ich wasr damals in dem Konzert - irre, wie sie sich in Rezititaiv und Arie reinkniet .... !!! Eine Sensation!!!

Fantastic Voice! A wonderful human being, my late Singing Teacher Jeffrey Talbot sung with her in a Gala Concert in Lisbon in 1988 with other great singers, including Teresa Berganza, Ileana Cotrubas & Matteo Manuguerra to name a few.

J'ai entendu Guy Chauvet à la Monnaie (Bruxelles) dans le rôle de Radamès à peu près à cette date. Il y chantait souvent les rôles wagnériens (Lohengrin, Siegmund).
